The Memecom Gateway is a multi media drama, fundamentally a musical and literary journey and is therefore best described as an Opera based, not on the stage, but within the computer.
This project, essentially, is an entertaining and artistic environment using many different media. It takes the form of a multi media CD-ROM containing interactive software that creates a non-linear narrative experience with the story depth of a novel; something that can stand alone as an entertaining story yet remains rich with symbolism and metaphor.
Whilst the programming of the main sections was being completed and corrected, my focus was in the realm of the story structure and user navigation.
The Memecom Gateway is mimicking a computer desktop, yet even when viewing the source code for this simulation operating system the overall story is still represented.
